We're partnering with a highly respected North American recruitment firm specializing in insurance and finance talent acquisition for the tech startup sector. Founded by former insurance executives, they've built their reputation on deep industry expertise and a human-centered approach to recruiting. As they expand their operations following significant client acquisition, they're seeking their first recruitment specialist to help shape their growing team.

The Impact you'll make

Recruitment Strategy & Execution

  • Create compelling job postings that speak to insurance and finance professionals

  • Screen resumes with an understanding of industry-specific qualifications

  • Conduct thorough reference checks using established templates

  • Research and map talent pools within the insurance and finance sectors

  • Support end-to-end recruitment process for various levels of positions


Candidate Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates

  • Conduct initial screening calls and assessments

  • Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring teams

  • Maintain detailed candidate records in the ATS

  • Ensure exceptional candidate experience throughout the process


Market Research & Industry Intelligence

  • Research potential client companies within the insurance sector

  • Stay updated on insurance industry trends and talent movements

  • Compile market intelligence reports

  • Track competition and industry salary benchmarks


Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Help develop and optimize recruitment workflows

  • Document best practices and successful strategies

  • Maintain recruitment metrics and analytics

  • Contribute to the improvement of candidate assessment methods



Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of recruitment or HR experience, preferably in professional services

  • Prior experience working in a tech startup environment

  • Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruitment

  • Strong track record in candidate relationship management

  • Proficiency with modern recruitment tools and ATS systems

  • Experience in calendar management and professional communication

  • WFH Set-Up:

    • Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.

    • Internet speed of at least 40MBPS

    • Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam

    • Back-up computer and internet connection

    • Quiet, dedicated workspace at home

What to expect...

  • Working hours: US Business Hours, 40 hours a week / 8 hours per day, flexible hours with required availability Monday-Friday, 10 AM-3 PM EDT for team syncs
