Primary Function

Take charge of the Agri Division’s operations within the Philippines, managing its business units with full P&L accountability. This role requires a strategic leader with expertise in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry, particularly in the agricultural sector. The Operations Manager will drive revenue growth, ensure compliance with international quality standards, and deliver operational excellence in line with client and industry demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic and Financial Leadership
• Drive the division’s profitability by achieving revenue targets, controlling operational and capital expenditures, and optimizing equipment utilization.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with the organization’s growth objectives within the Agri and commodities sectors.
• Operational Excellence in TIC Services
• Oversee the delivery of testing, inspection, and certification services tailored to the agriculture industry, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and adherence to global standards.
• Implement, monitor, and continuously improve quality management systems (ISO 9001) and ensure compliance with client-specific and industry requirements.
• Ensure the effective utilization of resources and maintain high service standards to exceed client expectations.
• Team and Talent Development
• Build and lead a highly skilled team by fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Ensure staff are well-trained in technical competencies, safety protocols, and the latest TIC practices in agriculture.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide development opportunities to improve individual and team effectiveness.
• Client Engagement and Stakeholder Management
• Act as the primary interface for clients in the agriculture and commodities sectors, offering technical advice and innovative solutions to meet their needs.
• Work closely with international offices, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to align operations with global standards.
• Support business development efforts by advising on pricing strategies, service offerings, and industry best practices.
• Health, Safety, and Sustainability
• Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance by implementing rigorous protocols in line with company and industry standards.

Qualifications And Experience

• Professional Experience:
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the TIC industry, with a focus on agriculture, commodities, or related fields.
• Demonstrated expertise in operational management, P&L responsibility, and delivering high-quality testing, inspection, and certification services.
• Industry Knowledge:
• Deep understanding of agricultural supply chains, quality standards, and regulatory frameworks governing agricultural commodities and products.
• Familiarity with relevant global and regional standards, including ISO 9001, food safety, sustainability certifications, and inspection protocols.
• Leadership Skills:
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams, foster collaboration, and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Skilled in driving innovation and operational improvements to meet evolving client and market needs.
