What you’ll do:
COMPLIANCE
- Ensure compliance with tax mapping and assist with VAT Zero Rate application to BIR
- Manage BOI and PEZA compliance, including LOA, site inspections, EZMPR, PEZA renewal, and ATIR/ABR preparation
- Maintain consistent documentation of processes and regulatory requirements
- Track and document newly purchased assets as needed
- Attend PEZA meetings and ensure timely submission of SEC annual reports
- Oversee local business renewals, certifications, and tax payments in coordination with the Liaison Officer
- Coordinate secretary certificate requests with external vendors
- Stay updated with compliance requirements from BIR, PEZA, BOI, SEC, and LGUs
- Support regular and surprise audits, ensuring timely resolution of action items
- Handle ad hoc compliance tasks as needed
FINANCE & ADMIN
- Manage cash flow, PCF, and forecasting for Cebu operations
- Oversee local banking transactions and assist with monthly bank reconciliations
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies and the Manual of Authorities
- Develop and manage annual budgets and quarterly forecasts with the operations manager
- Prepare financial reports comparing actual expenses to budget
- Conduct physical asset counts and ensure alignment with financial records
- Implement internal control measures
- Drive process improvements tailored to Cebu’s operations
- Collaborate with Finance Head Office on billing, expense payments, and payroll accuracy
- Be the primary contact for all finance-related matters in Cebu
What you’ll need to succeed in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Finance, Audit, Accounting, and Government compliance (PEZA, LGUs)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Proficient in MS Office; XERO knowledge is a plus
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines independently or within a team
