- To carry out repairs to existing furniture, doors and windows.
- To fabricate new furniture.
- To repair door locks.
- To carry out repairs to upholstery of the hotel furniture.
- To perform minor repairs on floor and wall carpets.
- To assist in the preparation of decorations for functions
- To perform furniture polishing work.
- To assist in decoration work for functions.
- To be thoroughly familiar with all regulations regarding safety at work and observe these meticulously at all times.
- To observe cleanliness at the place of work and on the job after completion of work.
- To ensure cleanliness of appearance and uniform, particularly when working in a guests areas.
- To perform duties outside the scope of his trade in case of emergency so called upon.
- Technical/Vocational Certificate in Carpentry, Masonry, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel, resort, or commercial facility.
- Skilled in carpentry, woodworking, masonry, tiling, painting, drywall installation/repair, and minor civil works.
- Ability to read basic construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, tools, materials, and methods used in construction and repair works.
- Physically fit, able to work at heights and lift heavy materials.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and strong attention to detail.
- Experience working in a hotel or hospitality setting is an advantage.
