Position Overview:

The Treasury Division Head is responsible for designing and executing strategies to grow the banks funding sources, ensuring the proper usage of funds, and overseeing daily cash management activities. This role will manage liquidity and risk, ensuring the bank has sufficient resources to meet obligations while optimizing earnings through investments and funding approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Treasury Management

Direct and oversee the treasury front office and controls.

Review and enhance profitability plans and productivity standards through data analytics tools.

Manage funding sources (deposits, borrowings, credit lines, bonds) while optimizing the cost of funds.

Oversee the daily cash flow to meet the bank's obligations.

Establish and maintain relationships with counterparties for borrowing or depositing funds.

Stay informed of economic conditions, market trends, regulations, and industry practices to enhance liquidity.

B. Liquidity Management

Lead cash flow planning, forecasting, and interest rate management to ensure proper hedging of interest rate exposure.

Monitor liquidity risks to ensure sufficient liquid assets to cover short-term liabilities.

Recommend and execute alternative investments (e.g., bonds, equity funds) to grow bank revenue.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to liquidity and forex management.

Manage the profitability of non-fixed income assets, liquid assets, foreign exchange, and other investments.

Develop contingency plans for potential liquidity crises.

Provide regular updates on the liquidity position to management and the Board of Directors.

C. Currency Trading and Management

Direct foreign exchange trading operations, ensuring effective currency exposure management.

Monitor global currency markets, analyze trends, and assess their impact on the banks financial performance.

Execute forex trades to optimize profit margins.

Develop strategies to manage forex risks, including volatility and currency exposure.

Offer forex advisory services to corporate clients.

Report on the performance of the banks forex portfolio and market conditions.

D. Management Leadership

Finalize plans, programs, budgets, and performance targets for the division.

Direct, coordinate, and optimize workforce productivity.

Supervise and mentor direct and indirect reports, planning for their career advancement.

Evaluate performance and approve vacation leave for all direct reports.

E. Other Responsibilities

Provide recommendations on business operations and related activities.

Actively participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Graduate of any business-related course.

Experience: At least 10 years of experience in banking, treasury operations, liquidity, and FX management, preferably from a financial services institution.
