As a Technical Design Support Specialist , you will provide technical support internally and at site level. Assist the sales team with technical expertise and project management as required, to meet customer expectations, and with a key focus on maximizing sales and profit generation.

What you'll be working on

  • Partner with the sales team and customers to develop innovative, value-engineered solutions tailored to meet customer specifications and requirements.
  • Actively support the AS (Application Solutions) team by providing accurate information, detailed design drawings, and installation requirements where necessary.
  • Oversee specific aspects of major projects in conjunction with the NSW & VIC sales teams, ensuring successful project execution and coordination.
  • Collaborate with State Managers to explore potential project opportunities and align efforts with broader business strategies.
  • Assist the sales team with technical queries, ensuring the timely and effective resolution of issues and the smooth progression of sales processes.
  • Provide offshore support for site services, including installation assistance to contractors and customers when required.
  • Identify and pursue incremental sales opportunities throughout the project lifecycle to enhance value for both the customer and the company.
  • Stay up to date on market trends, industry advancements, and competitor activities to ensure the company remains competitive.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company safety guidelines and regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by management in the interest of the company and the team's success.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and projects to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide coverage for AS and/or Sales staff during periods of absence to ensure uninterrupted service and support.


What we’re looking for

  • Open to fresh graduates as well as candidates with at least 2 years of relevant work experience ideally within engineering, construction, or manufacturing.; experience with Australian firms is a plus!
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with partners, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Strong understanding of value engineering principles and technical drawing (AutoCAD/Revit experience preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of the commercial construction industry.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Technical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing customer and sales team needs.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to implement and drive sales strategies.
  • Proficient in SAP, MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a flexible environment.
