Tax Specialist - Corporate Taxation

Functions & Responsibilities

• Prepare the Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Tax reports and Tax Returns filling such as the Withholding Tax, Value-Added Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Fringe Benefit Tax and Documentary Stamp Tax and submit to Tax Manager for review and approval.
• Filling of tax Returns to EFPS and validation of alpha list plus submission to the BIR
• Process tax payments via bank portal and submit to tax manager for approval.
• Prepare journal entries related to tax filings in Microsoft D365.
• Reconcile tax return vs per books
• Forecast monthly tax payments
• Update the tax tracker on a regular basis
• Ensures that all books of account are updated and registered on time with the BIR
• Assist the tax manager in the preparation and submission of annual reportorial requirements with PEZA, BOI and BIR.
• Assist the tax manager in tax audit investigation by preparing schedules and reconciliations
• Assist the tax manager in handling BOI, PEZA, SEC and BIR reporting concerns
• Assist the tax manager with the VAT refund application -review invoices and official receipts and preparation of required documentation.
• Other reports as requested the Senior Tax Manager or Senior Finance Director
• Other Project based activities as deemed necessary.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting is a must,

• CPA is preferred but not required
• Amenable to work onsite in SM Sta Rosa Laguna or at Quezon City Commonwealth
• At least 2 years of experience working as Tax Professional
• Experienced in Tax preparation with BPO or Shared Service Structure
• Has working experience in various Finance and Accounting areas, aside from Taxation
• Has an audit work experience
• Knowledgeable in the updated BIR Rulings and Regulations, as well as PEZA and BOI regulations.
• Familiar with Microsoft D365
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
