Tax Assistant

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for tax reporting and ensuring compliance with BIR and other regulatory requirements, to be submitted to the Tax Manager for review within the timeframe set by management. Assists with audits, including BIR tax audits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Banking and Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with BIR, PEZA, BOI, LGU, and other statutory regulatory requirements
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
• Proficient in SAP
• Willing to work in Mandaluyong City
  
  
  

KEY FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Compliance to BIR requirements (Preparation and filing of taxes):

• Withholding Tax:
• Monthly, quarterly and annual withholding tax returns: expanded, final, compensation and FBT
• Monthly and annual alphalists of payees supporting withholding taxes
• Semi-annual list of regular suppliers
• Internal: Submission of list of CWT for commissions paid
• Income tax:
• Quarterly and annual summary alphalist of withholding taxes 1606
• Other requirement:
• Annual registration fee
• Summary List of Income Recipient (Sworn Declaration Annex C)
  
  
  

2. Monthly/Quarterly reconciliation of tax balances per books and per ITR

3. BIR assessment - Assist in preparation of schedule and documentary requirements
