Tax Accountant

Job Summary

A Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and providing strategic tax advice to individuals, businesses, or organizations. He/she works to help minimize tax liabilities while maximizing tax benefits, aids in handling tax planning, and prepares tax returns in compliance with local and national tax laws.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and File Tax Returns - Accurately prepare and file national and local tax returns for the assigned companies within the Vivant Group, ensuring timely submissions
• External Audit Collaboration - Assist in tax audits by preparing relevant tax documents and providing required information to regulatory bodies
• Issue Resolution - Work closely with different departments to provide insight on tax implications of various business decisions.
• Ensure Compliance - Monitor compliance with tax laws, regulations, and deadlines, ensuring tax practices meet legal standards

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
• At least 1 year of experience with tax compliance
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Tax Technician (CTT) is an advantage
• Knowledge in Philippine Taxation Laws, SEC Rules, LGU Code, and Accounting Policies
• Use of Accounting Systems (e.g. SAP Hana and MS NAV) and other productivity tools such as MS Applications, especially MS Excel
• Strong understanding of national and local tax laws
• Critical Thinking and Problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex tax concepts to internal or external stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple companies and meet deadlines
• Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality
