Universal Robina Corporation Sugar and Renewables is looking for a Talent Management and Development Specialists.

What are the Roles and Responsibilities?

The Talent Management and Development Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the corporate functions of talent acquisition, learning and development, and organizational development across all URC-SURE Plants. This role works closely with Plant HRs to ensure that the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent while fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Responsibilities:

  1. Talent Acquisition:
    • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various roles across the organization.
    • Partner with Plant HRs to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions, interview guides, and candidate selection criteria.
    • Coordinate and conduct interviews, assessments, and reference checks to ensure the selection of qualified candidates.
    • Manage the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires, including orientation and initial training programs.
  2. Learning and Development:
    • Identify training and development needs across the organization in collaboration with Plant HRs and department heads.
    • Design, develop, and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, making adjustments as needed.
    • Promote a culture of continuous learning by providing resources and opportunities for professional development.
  3. Organizational Development:
    • Support the implementation of organizational development initiatives, including change management, performance management, and employee engagement programs.
    • Conduct organizational assessments and surveys to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
    • Facilitate team-building activities, workshops, and other interventions to improve team dynamics and organizational effectiveness.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to support organizational growth and development.
  4. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with Plant HRs to ensure alignment of talent management and development initiatives with organizational goals.
    • Provide guidance and support to Plant HRs on various HR-related matters, including employee engagement, performance management, and succession planning.
    • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to promote and support talent management and development initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate records and reports related to talent acquisition, learning and development, and organizational development activities.

What are the Qualifications?

  1. Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in talent acquisition, learning and development, and organizational development within a corporate environment, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  2. Technical Proficiency:
    • Comprehensive understanding of talent management processes, including recruitment, training, and organizational development.
    • Proficiency in using HR software and tools for recruitment, training, and performance management.
  3. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Thorough knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices related to talent management and development.
    • Experience in ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  4. Leadership and Management Skills:
    • Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage talent acquisition and development initiatives.
    • Proven track record of fostering a positive work environment and promoting continuous improvement.
  5. Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities:
    • Advanced analytical skills to assess talent needs, evaluate training effectiveness, and identify organizational development opportunities.
    • Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies to address HR-related challenges and improve processes.
  6. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise effectively with Plant HRs, management, and employees.
    • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to address HR challenges and stakeholder concerns.
  7. Continuous Improvement Mindset:
    • Demonstrated commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives in talent management and development practices.
    • Awareness of emerging trends, industry best practices, and innovations relevant to HR management.
