BUREAU VERITAS IN THE PHILIPPINES
Bureau Veritas Philippines was established in 1994 with a lean team of seven people mostly surveyors for the Marine & Offshore business unit. In the late 90s, the Certification Team was established together with other Business Units such as the Government Services and International Trade Group. Inspectorate Philippines became part of the BV Group in the Philippines in 2010 and formed BV’s Commodities Services. In 2016, the Buildings & Infrastructure services business unit was introduced in the Philippines, and within five years, the B&I revenue stream has become one of the top revenue earners of BV Philippines and is now considered a partner of choice of large real estate and property developers in the country. Today, Bureau Veritas Philippines has over 450 employees and growing.

Position Overview:
As a Sustainability Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and optimizing our sustainability strategies, focusing on greenhouse gas (GHG) emission accounting, life cycle assessments (LCA), and circular economy initiatives. Your expertise will help guide our efforts to minimize environmental impact and enhance our sustainability performance across various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- GHG Emission Accounting: Conduct comprehensive GHG emission inventories and accounting, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and protocols. Analyze emission sources and identify opportunities for reduction.
- Life Cycle Assessment: Perform life cycle assessments (LCA) to evaluate the environmental impacts of products and processes, providing actionable insights to inform decision-making and drive sustainability initiatives.
- Circular Economy Initiatives: Support the development and implementation of circular economy strategies, focusing on waste reduction, resource efficiency, and sustainable product design.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret sustainability data to track progress against key performance indicators (KPIs). Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels.
- Research and Development: Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability. Research various sustainability standards, frameworks, and protocols to enhance the company’s initiatives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and marketing, to integrate sustainability considerations into project planning and execution.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives, gather feedback, and foster a culture of sustainability within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience in GHG emission accounting and inventory management.
- Proficiency in conducting life cycle assessments (LCA) and familiarity with circular economy principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):
- Background in various sustainability standards, frameworks, and protocols (e.g., ISO 14064, ISO 14040, GHG Protocol).
- Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, CDP, or SASB.
