Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager will oversee the entire supply chain process, from procurement to delivery. They develop strategies to optimize operations, manage inventory and supplier relationships, identify and mitigate risks, and continuously improve processes. They possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and proficiency in supply chain software. The goal is to drive operational excellence and strategic advantage through effective supply chain management

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to align supply chain activities with overall business strategies involvement in demand planning and market research to provide concrete procurement and shipping plans

Inventory Management:

• Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase the efficiency of the supply chain and profitability for the company.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to prevent stock-outs and minimize carrying costs.
• Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock turnover and minimize excess inventory.

Supplier Management:

• Establish strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms, contracts, and agreements.
• Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
• Identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.

Logistics and Transportation:

• Manage transportation and distribution of products, coordinating with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective shipping.
• Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution, reducing lead time and transportation expenses.

Demand Planning:

• Collaborate with sales and Warehouse teams to forecast product demand accurately.
• Utilize forecasting models and historical data to plan for future production and inventory requirements.
• Continuous Improvement Implement lean principles and best practices to improve the efficiency of supply chain processes.
• Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implement subsequent changes to processes.
• Integrate create, and improve SOPs.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process enhancements, and waste reduction.

Risk Management:

• Developing strategies to address compliance breaches, respond to crises, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop contingency plans to address disruptions in the supply chain, such as natural disasters or government agencies issues.
• Establishing clear communication channels with stakeholders to share information about
• potential risks and mitigation efforts.
• Creating various scenarios to prepare for different risk outcomes and plan responses accordingly.

Regulatory and Compliance:

• Adhering to laws and regulations governing trade, transportation, customs, and products.
• Safety in each jurisdiction in the supply chain operates.
• Stay informed about changes in regulations that may impact supply chain operations.
• Ensuring that products meet applicable safety, quality, and labeling standards
• Protecting sensitive data and personal information by data privacy laws.
• Managing documentation and procedures required for cross-border movement of goods, while adhering to import regulations.
• Ensuring accurate customs declarations, valuation, and classification of goods to avoid penalties.
• Providing visibility into the entire supply chain, including suppliers and subcontractors, to meet transparency requirements.

System and Process Optimization:

• Implement and ensure that sales automation is being updated and utilized.
• Propose enhancements and improvements to the system to boost efficiency and
• effectiveness.

Reporting:

• Provide and prepare regular supply chain reports to the management.
