We have a unique role for an experienced Structural Designer who possesses strong 2D AutoCAD and AutoCAD 3D Software skills to support our highly skilled and experienced structural design and analysis team.
What you will be doing.
As our Structural Designer, your responsibility will be to supervise and undertake complex marine engineering services. Services will involve a wide variety of activities, ranging from the analysis and design of vessels, rigs and floating structures to approval of marine operations. You will focus on technical drafting/modelling structures within the marine, offshore, and broader renewable energy spaces. This will include preparation of 2D & 3D drafting using Inventor and AutoCAD. In addition, you will
Flexible working hours with after-hours, weekends, or public holidays as required. The role is office-based, however, the current policy in our Cebu office allows for working certain days from home provided employees have reliable/stable high-speed connectivity and a suitable workstation at home.

We have a unique role for an experienced Structural Designer who possesses strong 2D AutoCAD and AutoCAD 3D Software skills to support our highly skilled and experienced structural design and analysis team.
What you will be doing.
As our Structural Designer, your responsibility will be to supervise and undertake complex marine engineering services. Services will involve a wide variety of activities, ranging from the analysis and design of vessels, rigs and floating structures to approval of marine operations. - Conceptual, preliminary and detailed design, related to a variety of Offshore and Marine Structures
- Prepare layouts and Engineering drawings for assigned projects as required.
- Work across disciplines as required.
- Coordinate with Engineering on determining and addressing project priorities.
- Assist engineers and designers in resolving design issues.
- Oversee and direct the work of other drafting professionals.
- Interact with clients on Discipline Drafting related issues.
- Ensure all operations, deliverables and quality of reports are in accordance with approved instructions, and ABL procedures and policies.
- Abide by specific internally established control systems and authorities, to lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with the applicable laws and the ABL’s standards and policies including its OHSEQ policies.
- Serve as Checker of design drawings and or layouts.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Degree-level qualification in engineering or similar technical studies.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English and adapt to the audience.
- Minimum 5 years experience using Inventor and AutoCAD, performing ship design (concept through detail engineering) and structural design of ships and other marine and offshore structures.
- Experience serving in a QA/QC (drawing checking) function.
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
- Demonstrated technical versatility.
- Strong sense of professional ethics, integrity, and quality.
- Ability to efficiently collaborate in a multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively, both in person and remotely.
- Ability to manage conflicts and negotiate difficult/conflicted situations.
- Realistic and aware of one’s limits.
- Degree in naval architecture, offshore engineering, or structural engineering
- Certificates demonstrating competency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Inventor, and/or Aveva E3D.
- Experience and familiarity with the preparation of storyboards and storyboards and other documents related to marine/offshore transportation and installation projects, e.g., sea fastening design.
- Experience with structural design for asset mobilizations, e.g., for submarine cable laying/repair operations.
- Experience with the design of piping, mechanical, and/or E&I.
- Proficiency in Inventor, Aveva E3D and Rhino.
- Basic structural engineering (analysis) capability, preferably both by hand/spreadsheet and by finite element analysis, e.g., FEMAP.
