About the role


The Supervisor – Planning & Inventory manages a team of Coordinators and Specialists across the Supply Planning, Inventory and Purchase Requisition workstreams. This role oversees the execution, development, and implementation of plans and strategies according to business requirements and standards.


The Supervisor ensures the team’s understanding and performance of tasks across the Supply Chain, adhering to policies and using core systems like SAP. Additionally, the role collaborates with regional operations as well as procurement and accounts payable teams, supporting prioritization and workload allocation for daily operations and improvement activities.


What you will be doing


  • Manage operations and escalations of transactional activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Responsible for their team’s compliance to group mandates, standards and procedures, regulation, and audit requirements.
  • Support Coordinators and Specialists as needed, and mentor the team to encourage improvement and best practices.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and suppliers in identification and resolution of potential issues/discrepancies related to transactions and escalating where necessary.
  • Maintain close relationships with suppliers, internal customers, and the Supply Chain network, contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives, and track progress against Supply Chain targets.
  • Review audit queries and processes and lead specific Supply Chain projects.
  • Ensure efficient processes for maintaining accurate spend and contracts database (SAP).


What you will bring


  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in Supply Chain Planning in a MNC environment (preferably with a Global organisation).
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Mining, Oil & Gas, Industrial, or other relevant B2B similar sized organisations.
  • Degree qualified. Procurement/Supply Chain/Logistics Management or Commercial Management – desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant Supply Chain roles. Previous leadership experience highly desirable.
  • Understanding and use of SAP transactions and reporting within a Supply Chain environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suites, particularly Excel – Excel operational experience highly regarded.
  • Experience in a global, multi-cultural environment and comfort working autonomously in remote teams.
  • Experience in relationship and stakeholder management, as well as strategy development and implementation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, along with strong analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Strong problem-solving, relationship, negotiation, planning, and organizational skills with a customer service focus.
