We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Clients & Growth Services Manager - CRC Manila

Clients & Growth Services Manager – CRC Manila will lead the Manila Bid, Business Development (BD) systems, clients, research and graphic design studio staff who provide high-quality bidding, BD support and creative design services to the Australian business. The Clients & Growth Manager will work closely with the Regional Director in Manila and the Enterprise Clients & Growth leaders in Australia, to ensure alignment of service standards, expectations, and delivery.

The Clients & Growth Services Manager will be responsible for managing workload distribution, upholding service quality – particularly in bid support – and fostering staff training and development. They will be expected to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of the support services.

Main activities and responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Job Specific:

  • Build and manage a team of people who will service Clients & Growth operational functions, such as work winning, BD systems, graphic design and client services for the Australian business.
  • Liaise with the relevant Clients & Growth functional leads and managers in Australia to ensure alignment of expectations and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and standards for each operational function of the team.
  • Seek out and present opportunities for improving services delivery within the business.
  • Support the implementation of new systems and processes.
  • Meet with local team leaders to seek feedback on a local level and address any local concerns.

Bid Management

  • Understand the WSP process, particularly related to winning work, and guide teams/staff through the process as described in the Australian BD Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Strong time-management and planning skills.
  • Apply WSP’s working winning processes and bidding best practice across planning, writing, reviewing, production and knowledge management.
  • Coach bid professionals in BD processes and best practice bid coordination.
  • Oversee and improves quality and compliance in bid deliverables of Manila-based team.

People Management

  • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, developing, and managing team members including regular performance and development discussions/assessments, general pastoral care, and offboarding.
  • Manage all onboarding, IT, probation requirements.
  • Manage staff and oversee day to day workload, providing training, guidance and support.
  • Invest in understanding the roles and skills of each member of the team and make time for each of them as individuals. Support their development through knowledge sharing and training.
  • Drive engagement through activities and behaviours to encourage great team spirit and morale.
  • Lead performance reviews via Thrive, coach and mentor.
  • Address performance issues in a timely manner in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide recommendations on staff adjustments (e.g., hiring, performance reviews, team changes, promotions and progressions).
  • Coordinate local resourcing and work with the Australian Clients & Growth Leaders to share resources and monitor quality of output.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate and communicate openly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create a culture of trust and openness though the sensitive and confidential handling of any employee relations issues.
  • Ensure new staff are correctly onboarded and supported.

Wellbeing

  • Foster a strong Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) culture in the office and ensure compliance with all HSE and Quality requirements.
  • Create and maintain a healthy, safe, respectful, and ethical workplace environment.
  • Reinforce expectations for behaviour and workplace policies and practices.

Qualifications

Degree in business, administration, marketing, communications, or equivalent experience (minimum).

Experience, skills, and organizational skills

  • More than 15 years of relevant experience within a professional services or corporate environment
  • preferably with strong experience in Bidding
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a complementary resource centre based administrative support team in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Experience delivering high-quality work winning services in demanding and fast paced environments
  • Experience working with consulting engineering firms (desired but not essential)
  • Experience working with internationally based internal clients (desired but not essential)
  • Ability to lead teams, act as a role model and mentor, motivate and encourage staff to achieve results
  • Excellent communication skills in Filipino and English
  • Ability to learn and subsequently train others in WSP systems and processes
  • Skilled in managing client expectations and achieving positive outcomes in challenging environments
  • Able to make decisions and solve problems in complex, pressured and ambiguous situations
  • Familiar with organisational compliance requirements for quality and project deliveryExperienced to an advanced level in the Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Excel.
