Senior Accounting Officer (Financial Reporting/Audit Background)

About The Role

As a Senior Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of internal reports for use by the management and external/regulatory reports. You will be overseeing the operations of the team and assist in the preparation or review of various reports.

Others:

• Submit requirements of internal and external audits and address/close audit observations and findings on a timely basis
• Implement changes (new and amended) in accounting standards
• Participates in continuous improvement and other projects and performs maintenance of the Bank’s financial reporting systems
  
  

How You’ll Contribute

• Performs monthly financial statement close process of the Bank for monthly reporting to management
• Ensures the process of collating and comprising internal, statutory, and regulatory reports is robust, appropriately communicated, executed, and monitored
• Delivers special projects (e.g. new systems, new accounting standards, reconciliation processes, etc.)
• Deals with internal auditors and external auditors like BSP, SGV, and other regulatory agencies as applicable
• Coordinates all requirements and addresses all audit observations/issues related to the unit
• Takes accountability and ownership of standardized and efficient operational processes
• Implements change the bank (CTB) initiatives such as TAT reduction on certain processes, month-end closing, and manual adjustments
• Other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Must have a degree in Accountancy, preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• At least 4 to 6 years of experience in financial reporting and external audit, preferably in the banking industry
