Senior Accountant (Team Lead)

Location: Tarlac

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM PHT

About The Role ….

  • Lead our PH Team
  • Collaborate with Melbourne team to plan, coordinate and manage execution of allocated deliverables for the Philippines team
  • First pass yield review of the work performed by other team members in the Philippines:
    • Prepare and review BAS/IAS
    • Prepare and review financial reports/statements including supporting workpapers and schedules
    • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, companies, trust, partnerships and FBT returns
    • Prepare and review monthly/quarterly management reports
    • Assist in relation to a range of taxations matters including but not limited to FBT, CGT, Division 7a, GST, Rental property tax matters
  • Ensure all jobs are completed within the agreed time and budget and of the highest quality
  • Mentor and develop PH staff, providing training and support
  • Perform other accounting and ad-hoc duties as required
About You ….

We are looking for an A-star individual, passionate and competent with what they do and bringing the WOW with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • CPA certification is preferred
  • At least 5 years meaningful experience working with an Australian accounting firm
  • High level of experience and understanding with the preparation of financial accounts
  • Strong Australian taxation knowledge particularly with GST, CGT, Division 7a, FBT
  • Have prior experience in reviewing the work of staff to completion of tasks and able to complete more advance accounts and tax work
  • Proficient in Xero, XPM and Microsoft Office
  • Strong leadership and personal skills
  • Problem solver and thinker with excellent numerical skills
  • Team player would likes to share success
  • Straight talking – confidence to come forward with issues or problems
  • Friendly manner and strong communication
  • Thirst for learning and development
