Safety Officer III

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Safety Officer III to join our dynamic team at Q.C. Styropackaging Corporation / Multiplast Corporation in Santa Maria, Bulacan. As a full-time Safety Officer III, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and well-being of our employees, adhering to the highest industry standards within the construction sector.

What you'll be doing

• Developing, implementing and monitoring comprehensive safety policies, procedures and programmes to create a safe working environment
• Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
• Providing training and guidance to employees on safe work practices, use of personal protective equipment and emergency response procedures
• Investigating and reporting on incidents, accidents and near-misses, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Collaborating with management to ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices
• Maintaining detailed records and preparing reports on the company's safety performance
• Promoting a strong safety culture and encouraging employees to take an active role in maintaining a safe workplace

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards and best practices applicable to the construction sector
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive continuous improvement in safety performance
• Proficient in the use of safety management software and data analysis tools
• Valid safety certifications or training (e.g. OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred
