Purchasing & Logistics Manager

Overview:

The Purchasing and Logistics Manager oversees procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations for the Rio Tuba Limestone Mine. This role ensures the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, manages supplier relationships, contract negotiations, freight logistics and leads a team of Procurement Officers and Warehouse Staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement, Logistics, and Warehouse Management:

• Develop and implement strategies for cost-efficient procurement and timely delivery of industrial equipment and materials.
• Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage all PEZA required reporting and compliance, Bureau of Customs and any Government agencies for Import/Export applications or permitting requirements and reporting.
• Oversee freight logistics for timely transport of materials to the Rio Tuba site, coordinating with freight forwarders and customs agencies.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliations while addressing logistical challenges.
• Ensure efficient receipt, storage, and issuance of goods in the warehouse, meeting productivity and safety targets.

Supplier and Stakeholder Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers, conducting audits and performance assessments to ensure quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams (maintenance, operations, finance) to align procurement with business objectives and stay informed on industry trends.
• Manage supplier accreditation and performance evaluation processes, ensuring alignment with company standards.

Team Leadership and Compliance:

• Lead and develop Procurement and Warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and performance goals.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with industry regulations and ethical sourcing practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 8–10 years of procurement, logistics, and warehouse management experience, preferably in mining or heavy industries.
• Proven experience in sourcing industrial equipment and managing supplier negotiations.
• Strong understanding of logistics and import/export regulations in the Philippines.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in procurement and inventory management systems.

Work Conditions:

• Based in Manila with periodic travel to the Rio Tuba mine site.
