Promo and Events Specialist

The purpose of the position is to Manage Group / Alt Distribution Channel and assigned Marketing non-channel events and initiatives. Provide support to all promo and events initiatives

• Supports all marketing promos and events support initiatives(i.e., sales production drives, recognition events, incentive programs and other sales promotion initiatives) in relation to: communications, production, compliance, initiative rollout, logistics and monitoring requirements
• Manages assigned marketing channel / non- distribution promotions and other P&E initiatives that may be assigned, ensuring alignment with overall promo and events strategy
• Oversees coordination with various stakeholders within Marketing and other units including the concerned Distribution Channel, Legal, Compliance, Sun Life, and bank distribution partner for events under area of responsibility

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree Graduate of a Business Management or similar-related course
• 3 years work experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the insurance industry
• Background conducting marketing/sales and recognition events.
• Assists in the logistics work in relation to executing sales promo drives.
• Goal Oriented
• Can do software-based creative work in relation to developing contest announcement collateral material/layouts and excel for contest result generation/validation work.
• Life Insurance industry exposure will be a definite advantage but not necessary qualification.
