About The Role

The Project Support is responsible for the proactive support of projects, working with the Project Managers to ensuring that project deliverables are provided according to the plan, against the project objectives (cost, scope, quality, time, benefits, and risks), responsibilities include creation and updating project documents and trackers, supporting deployment activities and issues, and taking notes and actions from project calls.

Essential Duties

  • Support Project Managers in delivering customer projects.
  • Prepares and maintains project documentation, gaining authorisation from key stakeholders as required. Is responsible for ensuring project documents are accurate and up to date. Includes RAID logs, plans, and reporting.
  • Deployment planning and tracking, including the creation and updating deployment plans / trackers, and confirming bookings of onsite resources. Creates, documents, and maintains agreed deployment tools including deployment schedules, site readiness check lists and activities and transport actions.
  • Coordinates and manages the daily deployment activities of a project with the customer, back office, and logistics partners.
  • The allocation of all chargeable activities for Professional Services within the Canon project application (Kimble/Salesforce).

Decision Making Authority

  • Deployment issue resolution.
  • Assigned Work package related decisions.

Performance Measures

  • PMO billable utilisation / total utilisation
  • Number / Revenue generated via Change Requests Procedure
  • Project sign off accuracy / Project overrun
  • Customer Satisfaction

The Candidate

  • Successful project support is more about your soft skills than your hard skills. As a Project Support, you will be responsible for proactively supporting the Project Managers and Project Teams in the co-ordination, planning and control of the project deployment, logistics coordination and key administrative tasks associated with assigned projects, the ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, passionate, committed to excellence and be self-motivated.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Knowledge or exposure to a Professional Services function
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team to ensure task completion.
  • Experience in B2B solutions.
  • Experience of dealing with customer issues and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Competent in MS Excel.
  • Competent in MS Project (Preferred).
  • Previous experience as PMO Analyst or Project Coordinator/Support (Preferred).
