Job Overview

The Strategy and Development Head plays a key leadership role in shaping and driving the company’s growth initiatives. This position oversees strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital funding efforts, and partnership development. The role involves working closely with senior leadership to align all projects with the company’s overall vision and long-term goals.

Your Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Lead the creation and execution of strategies that support business expansion, innovation, and collaboration across different teams.
  • Align strategic efforts with the organization’s goals and direction.
  • Facilitate coordination between departments to ensure successful execution of plans.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

  • Oversee the entire M&A process from sourcing deals to post-merger integration.
  • Identify and assess potential investment and acquisition opportunities that complement the company’s portfolio.
  • Perform thorough evaluations and support negotiations to ensure successful deal closure.

Capital Structuring and Fundraising

  • Collaborate with the Finance and Investor Relations teams to raise funds through equity, debt, or partnerships.
  • Ensure capital is efficiently allocated to key initiatives with high return potential.
  • Help build financial models and structures to support new business ventures.

Partnerships and Alliances

  • Scout and form strategic alliances, joint ventures, and partnerships that offer growth or competitive advantage.
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships and maintain productive partnerships.
  • Track and evaluate the performance of partnerships to ensure continued alignment with business goals.

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Additional certifications in strategy or corporate development are a plus.
  • 8 to 10 years of solid experience in corporate strategy, business development, investment banking, or management consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing M&A, capital planning, and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with executive teams and leading cross-functional groups.
  • Advanced skills in financial analysis, valuation, and deal structuring.
  • Solid understanding of investment strategies, capital markets, and business modeling.
  • Proficient in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, and BI tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and manage complex projects effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management and decision-making capabilities.
