Job Description

Your Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management:
    • Supervise the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods in the warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory records.
    • Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
    • Oversee inventory tracking systems and ensure accurate entries of stock movements.
    • Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
  • Warehouse Operations:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring smooth flow of goods from receipt to storage and dispatch.
    • Coordinate with the team to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery to customers.
    • Ensure goods are properly labeled, stored, and protected from damage or deterioration.
    • Manage stock rotation to ensure first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices are followed, especially for perishable goods.
  • Staff Supervision & Training:
    • Supervise warehouse staff and assign tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse.
    • Provide training to new employees on warehouse procedures, safety standards, and equipment usage.
    • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback to ensure productivity and safety standards are met.
    • Ensure the warehouse team is motivated, organized, and focused on meeting daily targets.
  • Logistics Coordination:
    • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
    • Collaborate with the logistics team to arrange transportation and manage delivery schedules.
    • Ensure proper documentation for shipments, including packing lists, invoices, and delivery receipts.
    • Track and resolve any delays or issues in shipping and receiving.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in the warehouse.
    • Conduct safety inspections regularly to identify potential hazards, ensuring a safe working environment.
    • Ensure all employees follow proper lifting techniques, PPE usage, and safe handling of goods.
    • Report any safety issues or incidents to the appropriate authorities and take corrective actions.
  • Warehouse Maintenance & Cleanliness:
    • Ensure that the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and free of clutter to maintain efficient workflows.
    • Oversee the proper maintenance and functioning of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
    • Conduct regular audits of the warehouse to ensure that all equipment and storage facilities are in good working condition.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and warehouse performance.
    • Maintain accurate records of goods received, stored, and dispatched.
    • Ensure documentation for all warehouse activities is accurate and up to date for auditing purposes.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify areas for improvement in warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
    • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance workflow.
Your Profile

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is a plus).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
    • Experience in inventory control, order fulfillment, and warehousing operations.
    • Familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Leadership Skills:
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills to manage and motivate a team.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail:
    • Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure goods are handled properly.
    • Strong organizational skills to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with team members, management, and other departments.
