Your Responsibilities
- Maintenance Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance plan for all machinery, equipment, and systems based on manufacturer recommendations, historical data, and industry best practices.
- Schedule preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and ensure they are completed on time, with minimal disruption to production operations.
- Coordinate with maintenance supervisors, technicians, and other departments to ensure the availability of resources (e.g., manpower, parts, tools) for scheduled work.
- Ensure that maintenance schedules are optimized for maximum equipment uptime while balancing production demands.
- Work Order Management:
- Create, review, and track work orders for planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Prioritize work orders based on urgency, production requirements, and equipment criticality.
- Ensure that all work orders are completed according to defined standards, and verify that maintenance work is properly documented.
- Close completed work orders and update maintenance logs with details of work performed, parts used, and any issues encountered.
- Resource Coordination:
- Coordinate the procurement of parts, tools, and equipment needed for scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Maintain an organized system for tracking inventory levels of spare parts and ensure that necessary parts are available to avoid delays in maintenance.
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers to source and order spare parts, materials, and services as required for maintenance tasks.
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance (PM) program to ensure machinery and equipment are kept in optimal working condition.
- Analyze equipment performance data and recommend predictive maintenance (PdM) activities to prevent unplanned breakdowns.
- Work with the engineering team to assess equipment reliability and identify areas where preventive or predictive maintenance could improve operational efficiency.
- Budget & Cost Management:
- Assist in the development and management of the maintenance budget, ensuring that maintenance activities are carried out within the approved budget.
- Track and report on maintenance expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible.
- Provide cost estimates for maintenance activities and ensure that they are aligned with financial and operational goals.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including scheduled tasks, work orders, and repairs.
- Generate and analyze maintenance reports to track performance metrics, such as downtime, equipment reliability, and cost performance.
- Report on the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance program and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously assess and improve maintenance planning and scheduling processes to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Recommend improvements to machinery, systems, or maintenance processes that will enhance productivity, reliability, and safety.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss maintenance challenges, performance, and opportunities for improvement.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Maintain a safe work environment by coordinating necessary safety training for maintenance personnel.
- Ensure that maintenance activities are properly documented to meet regulatory requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related field is a plus).
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance planning or scheduling role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS - Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Experience in preventive maintenance, resource coordination, and work order management.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of machinery and equipment maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in planning and scheduling software, as well as other Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to interpret equipment manuals, maintenance logs, and technical specifications.
- Organizational & Analytical Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple schedules.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make decisions to optimize maintenance performance.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to coordinate with various departments and teams.
- Ability to collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure effective coordination and scheduling of tasks.
- Ability to train and mentor maintenance personnel, helping them understand schedules and priorities.
