City: Taguig
Contract type: Full time
Working at Thinking Machines

Thinking Machines is a technology consultancy building AI & data platforms to solve high impact problems for our client. Our vision is for Southeast Asia to become a global hub for data science. To do that, we create data cultures, one organization at a time.

We’re a company made up of intellectually curious, civic-minded, forever-learning individuals. We believe that great data science products are built with care for people, and that the best way to drive inclusive innovation is to start with a diverse team.

Our field of work is incredibly dynamic, so we want to work with people who are committed to growing with us. We want to hire people who can demonstrate an ability to learn, then provide them with personalized coaching, growth opportunities, and a great working environment to get them to world-class.

The Business Development Consultant (BDC) Talent Engine Program

As a leading data and AI consultancy, we believe that strong commercial talent is essential to connecting organizations with solutions that create meaningful impact. We’re committed to developing the next generation of business development professionals who can confidently represent modern technology, understand client needs, and open doors to high-value opportunities.

To support this mission, we are launching the Business Development Consultant Talent Engine Program, Thinking Machines’ early-talent program designed for ambitious individuals who want to build a career in technology consultancy.

The program is built specifically for high-potential fresh graduates or early-career professionals who want to build a career in sales. Rather than requiring years of sales experience, we invest in people with promise—teaching them the craft of inside sales and giving them the mentorship, structure, and support necessary to grow into high-performing sales closers.

Participants will go through an intensive 10-week Bootcamp that forms part of our regularization process. Throughout the program, participants will learn how to find and research promising leads, craft outreaches that get replies, have confident sales conversations, understand customer fit, and use AI tools (including GPT) to work smarter and faster.

By the end of the program, participants will be prepared to handle real commercial opportunities. Those who meet the performance standards will be regularized as Business Development Consultant at Thinking Machines, with clear pathways toward Business Development Manager or Account Executive roles.

About The Program

Your first 10 weeks in the program will be an intensive, structured Bootcamp designed to build the skills you’ll use every day in your role. You will:

  • Participate in sales workshops, simulations, and roleplays to build confidence
  • Receive regular coaching and feedback from experienced TM sales professionals
  • Practice real outreach techniques and messaging frameworks
  • Hit weekly activity targets to reinforce consistency and discipline
  • Apply your learning to real TM prospects under supervision
  • Be familiar with using AI tools like GPT, Copilot, Gemini

The Bootcamp is directly tied to your responsibilities above: everything you learn—from researching accounts to writing compelling outreach—feeds into the day-to-day work expected of a high-performing Business Development Consultant. Participants who successfully meet the standards at the end of the Bootcamp move into probation, where they begin handling real opportunities more independently.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking ambitious and coachable early-career professionals to join our Commercial Team through the Business Development Consultant Talent Engine Program.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who want to build a career in technology and AI consulting, gain exposure to enterprise clients, work with AI-driven solutions, and learn how to open doors in high-value accounts. The role blends research, communication, structured outreach, and strategic thinking—all essential foundations for a long-term career in enterprise sales.

As a Business Development Consultant, you will be part of the top-of-funnel engine that fuels our sales pipeline. You will identify potential customers, initiate first-touch conversations, qualify leads, and support our sales team in preparing for client engagements.

Throughout the program, you’ll gain hands-on experience in:

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation
    • Research and identify high-potential leads that match our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
    • Execute multi-channel outbound outreach (email, LinkedIn, calls) using approved cadences.
    • Personalize outreach using buyer signals, industry insights, and prospect pain points.
    • Enrich and maintain lead records using CRM, LinkedIn, and prospecting tools.
  • Initial Outreach & Qualification
    • Initiate first-touch conversations via email, LinkedIn voice notes, and cold calls.
    • Conduct light qualification using BANT-lite or CHAMP-lite frameworks.
    • Schedule discovery meetings for Senior Business Development Managers (SBDMs).
  • Sales Enablement & Internal Support
    • Prepare pre-meeting research packs: account notes, personas, news triggers.
    • Draft follow-up emails, meeting summaries, and call notes.
    • Maintain CRM hygiene with clean tagging, statuses, and logs.
    • Compile weekly outreach and performance reports.
After bootcamp, you enter probation where you begin handling real opportunities independently.

  • Based in the Philippines and comfortable working in a hybrid setup— flexible and willing to attend periodic face-to-face meetings within Metro Manila

  • Demonstrated interest in tech, AI, or digital tools (e.g., personal tech projects, websites, portfolios, etc.)
  • Strong analytical or problem-solving aptitude
