About The Role (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Manage and work closely with Eucalyptus’ Payroll Vendor to ensure timely and accurate processing of Philippine Payroll.
- Partner with Payroll Vendors to ensure payroll deliverables are accurate, timely, and compliant with local tax laws, company policies & procedures, and statutory changes.
- Advise the business on payroll best practices & solutions within the Philippine context, and implement these accordingly.
- Collaborate with the People team to seamlessly integrate payroll with employee data, and gather & validate payroll information for the Payroll Vendor to process.
- Work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate payroll transactions for financial reporting, including general ledger (GL) posting; reconciliations and statutory payments.
- Work with external auditors to manage financial year-end audit requests and inquiries.
- Identify and implement automation improvements to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity in a dynamic environment.
- Manage the team's daily operations and deliverables, ensuring efficiency and alignment with wider team goals.
- Mentor and develop the payroll team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Assist EUC group global payroll operations and work with global Payroll Vendors to ensure timely and compliant deliverables.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information.
In terms of qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- 10+ years of experience in Philippines payroll management, with substantial experience leading payroll operations in a team environment.
- Strong project management skills with experience in implementing new time and attendance (T&A) systems, payroll systems, and handling business transfers efficiently and accurately.
- In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with Philippines payroll processes and legislations.
- Experience in supporting APAC payroll operations (Japan, South Africa)
- Experience in managing global payroll functions, including in-house and outsourced payroll.
- Proficiency in HRIS, payroll and finance software and systems – BambooHR, Sprout and NetSuite.
- Experience in HR or payroll accounting is a plus.
