Job Summary
- The primary role of the Payments and Channels Management Officer (PCMO) is to ensure effective and efficient management, implementation and business growth of RBG’s strategic initiatives related to the banks existing payment channels and digital onboarding programs. The PCMO is tasked to improve both employee and customer experience through collaborations with different Business Units/Groups (such as RCBC Credit Cards Payments Channel, GTB Debit and DEIG ATM Go and related support units of the Bank) with the end-state goal of improved product competitiveness, accelerated market penetration, business growth and improved internal processes.
- Digital Onboarding
- Handles existing Digital Onboarding processes and liaises with internal and external stakeholders (see Internal and External Interaction section) to improve customer experience.
- Formulates, develops & delivers the Digital Onboarding Directional Strategy, introduces new Product enhancements through engagement with different product & support groups; Creates concepts in defining end-to-end Digital Onboarding experience.
- Ensures that figures in customer acquisition, revenue generation, volume growth and profitability of deposits are accurate.
- Point person for the branch distribution channel with regards to new Initiatives (products, policies, services, campaigns, etc.) of deposit, Internal and External sales promotions assigned to him/her.
- Champions/leads product/service delivery activities and implementation.
- Manages a portfolio of customers availing the assigned products and services – provides oversight on implementation and after sales.
- Executes, oversees and monitor output of Internal and External sales promotions / campaigns on deposit generation assigned to him/her.
- Responsible in monitoring and timely execution of projects for further profitability analysis and prepares necessary directions to improve revenues.
- If applicable, secures approval from Upper Management, Internal Committees and Regulatory offices (Legal & Compliance, ALCO, Excom, Techcom, RPT Committee, Board of Directors, BSP) for any new products or services or enhancements to be launched;
- Consults and prepares budget with Department Head as necessary to meet business objectives.
- Handles all escalated issues and provides for the necessary decision to address them and if necessary, seeks higher management on approval on recommended solutions.
- Payments Ecosystem
- Supports the Department Head and collaborates on strategies of internal Business Units partners of the bank to align with the Retail Banking Group (RBG)’s goals.
- Drives and improves existing processes across different channels (Pulz, digital, etc.)
- Utilizes all available resources to enable payments channels to effectively support RBG Sales.
- Collaborate with all key stakeholders to build best-in-class process for payments in RBG with focus on merchant acquisition, user growth, and transaction growth w/in RBG
- Supports Business Units (Credit Cards, Global Transaction Banking, DEIG) to increase in merchant acquisition, product penetration and new channel creation.
- Facilitates enhanced due diligence on documentations and approval of assigned Financial Product Providers and their respective product suite as prescribed by the BSP and the Bank’s Cross Selling Policy
- University graduate from a reputable educational institution, preferably of a business-related course or Marketing
- Minimum 3-4 years work-experience in the banking industry preferably with experience in handling digital onboarding, digital payments, POS, and/or digital apps/e-wallets
- Data driven with strong analytical skills. Has experience in the banking industry and is familiar with digital onboarding, payments, digital payment gateways. Self-motivated with proven ability to assume end-to-end function with grit and proactiveness to initiate and complete tasks.
