Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support Operational Risk & Resilience Management frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Coordinate and review activities across different segments using a standard template.
- Work closely with teams in risk management, compliance, legal, operations, and technology.
- Gather and report data on operational risk metrics, collaborating with business partners.
- Update dashboards to track progress, outcomes, gaps, and improvements.
- Assist in enhancing risk programs and processes.
- Foster a strong risk culture and participate in risk culture assessments.
- Broad knowledge of financial services/insurance business and related products is required.
- Strong knowledge of OSFI E-21, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Third Party Risk Management.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in operational risk management, with strong knowledge of operational processes, risks, and controls—specifically in the areas mentioned above.
- Experience with independent control design assessment and operating effectiveness.
- Ability to quickly understand business processes and their risk implications, analyze complex situations, reach appropriate conclusions, and make valuable and practical recommendations.
- Results-oriented with a focus on quality, delivering value, and strong attention to detail.
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to build effective relationships, both within and across divisions.
- Ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines.
- Solid written and oral communication skills.
