Your role

• Assist Country Head in overseeing governance of entities in the location; as strategic enabler, assist regulatory owners in relationship management, represent the location, and coordinate Corporate Secretary activities.
• Establish key contact partners across businesses and functions that are relevant to the location to ensure that there are established communication channels for issues that impact the location/entity to be escalated to the Country OO, and vice versa; monitor local function to operate effectively and support employee engagement initiatives,
• Monitor country financial performance together with the Country Head and Regional Finance; actively manage costs across areas includes monitoring adherence to cost policies and guidelines and support progress of Industrialization efforts in the country.
• Execute mandate and responsibilities cascading from the regional and also support the Country Head in his/her execution of the tasks and responsibilities includes managing and supporting Risk management.
• Supervise local Group Functions to ensure effective cross-functional coordination, includes maintain operating effectiveness and integrity of F2B control environment, ensure that local businesses conduct their activities in accordance with local, legal and regulatory rules and comply with UBS policies and procedures, provide support to timely delivery of any relevant regional and local risk and change initiatives, provide regular updates of monthly updates to APAC IB COO and Regional COO, and monitor/escalate all relevant risks and operational issues.
• Acts as a registered director with regulators, a key management staff and signatory for payments, agreements and correspondences.
  
  

Your team
You will be working in UBS Philippine Manila office. Further you will interface with various stakeholders locally or regionally. You will be responsible for a broad portfolio of activities centered around acting as a strategic enabler to the business, overseeing the integrity of the front to back control environment.

Your expertise

• Proven experience in investment banking operations, business management, or COO functions, ideally within APAC markets.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in the Philippines and broader APAC region.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution and problem-solving.
