Job Summary
- Supports the Account Officers with the credit processing and underwriting of both simple and more complex Housing Loan applications requiring Committee approvals.
- Ensures that loan accounts are approved in adherence with prescribed policies and procedures and in support to credit objectives of the bank.
- Renders judgment on loans processed, while providing analytical, detail oriented support for ensuring accuracy and consistency of underwriting and documentation quality for all loan requests prior to loan booking.
- Possesses skills at data gathering and probing, and is able to perform diligent investigation.
- Safeguards the Bank’s interest thru prudent approval of Housing loan applications, including maintaining asset quality where evaluation of the collateral is measured against the credit risk associated with it.
- Ensures data integrity through accurate encoding of credit decision into the system.
- Ensures all stipulated operating guidelines of CMG operations and the general procedures and guidelines laid down by the Bank are strictly adhered to.
- Warrants accurate and timely preparation of required reports.
- Adheres and complies with all applicable regulatory policies and procedures governing banks.
- At least 5 years’ experience in underwriting of Housing Loans
- With relevant experience involving consumer loan products and other bank loan operations
- Well-versed in Bank’s policies and procedures, good communication skills, ability to draw out information during credit investigation, potential people management skills, computer literate
