Your Tasks And Responsibilities
- Be and act as the senior expert within assigned team/country cluster leading the Controlling function within the Regional APAC team and providing guidance to other colleagues
- Activelly participate and contribute to relevant expert communities through global/regional calls and other media.
- Provide Financial Advisory to Country CFO/Senior Bayer Representative
- Preparation of financial country view as input for e.g., townhall meetings, Country Leadership Team meetings
- Pepare periodic and ad-hoc analysis / reporting requirements for cross-divisional or functional content
- Financial advisory for enterprise-wide or functional projects
- Special item reporting / allocation - Interact with relevant Divisional Finance Business Partners, Global Functional Controlling and Local Functional Heads to ensure aligned financial analysis and business insights are provided to internal stakeholders.
- Co-create with relevant Divisional Finance Business Partners, Global Functional Controlling and Local Functional Heads to ensure aligned financial analysis and business insights are provided to internal stakeholders.
- Perform relevant non-Divisional planning & forecasting activities in-scope of MA regional Hub Controlling
- Coach country corporate management: SBR, CFO, Funct. Heads on reporting dashboards (retrieved via self-service)
- Controlling support for Shared service Center (as applicable for selected countries only)
- Collaborate and provide actionable insights and recommendations for smart automations of reports relevant to decision makers
- Project and Change Management
- During the transitions, support local Functional Heads in local steering and reporting (e.g. ad-hoc analyses of functional cost, reports for selected functions – IT, Corporate Real Estate upon demand)
- Initiate and lead optimization projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the process
- Actively drive country integration and stakeholder management by co-creation and collaboration with MA/SSO-internally (Global functions Accounting, MA Regional Hub, LEFIM, GCS, etc.) as well as with country and global stakeholders following a structured process
- The Controlling Analyst participates in the identification of business objectives and opportunities through analytics and implementation of innovative solutions to drive enhanced customer experience, revenue growth and process efficiencies supporting digital transformation.
- Responsible for transforming complex data insights into compelling, actionable stories that drive strategic decisions.
- University degree in Economics / completed Master of Business Administration or equivalent studies in economics / management
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Controlling / Finance, preferably with focus on financial analysis, functional controlling, and operative planning
- Good Understanding of controlling standards and methodologies.
- Proven experience with implementation of Data Analytics and other digital tools to provide insights to support better decision making (e.g., SAP BW, Tableau, Power BI)
- Hands on experience with PowerApps, Excel VBA, Programming languages (Python) and Azure Cloud is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering impactful outcomes
- Strong presentation and communication skills, feels comfortable to work with senior management
- Ability to work under pressure and in complex environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and hold others accountable for achieving business goals.
- Ability to work with people from a variety of different cultures and backgrounds
- Outcome based and solution driven mindset
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
