About the Role
As a Junior Accounting Analyst, you will perform period-end closing on the Bank’s ledgers and financial reporting systems, reconciliations of selected subledgers against the Bank’s general ledgers and maintains non-core banking subledgers such as Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets, among others. Improve the control environment through identifying and resolving data quality issues and participating in continuous improvement. Provide decision support through internal reports for HR, Project Team, IT, among others and variance analysis of selected operational expense accounts.
How you'll contribute
- Performs posting of transactions in Oracle fixed assets/accounts receivables, and journal entries in general ledger. Processes conversion of ERP GL entries to FBEQ entries then endorses to Junior Accounting Officer to request posting in FBEQ.
- Develops understanding and compliance with relevant laws, legislation, standards (accounting/tax etc.) affecting own transactions processed by supporting the team in delivering timely and accurate schedules and reports to the Bank’s regulators, the BSP and SEC, among others.
- Identifies operational and accounting issues and escalates or resolves where appropriate through reconciliation of the Bank’s selected regulatory ledger against transaction subledgers.
- Process transaction entries for subledgers maintained by general accounting namely accounts receivables, fixed assets, insurance and sales contracts receivables, among others.

- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking or any related field
