IT SUPPORT

JOB SUMMARY

The I.T. Support - Help Desk Technician reports to the IT Manager. He/She helps with problem determination, problem/incident recording, problem resolution, and problem escalation for all technology requests submitted in person, over the phone, or using the online Technology Request Form.

He/She will be expected to support current and future Faith Academy Technology, including: Local Area Networks, Windows and Mac Operating Systems, portable devices, Google Apps products, application software, online educational services and software, peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, document cameras, digital LCD projectors, telephones, etc.

The IT Support - Help Desk Technician is also active in installing and deploying all desktop and mobile systems on campus work. This includes summer rotations of systems as well as new or replacement systems throughout the year.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least College Graduate of Information Technology courses, Computer Science or relevant field
• At least 1 year relevant experience as IT Support and Help Desk Technician or in a similar customer support role
• Excellent customer service, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to break down technological processes and deliver clear, step-by-step instructions
• Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and experience troubleshooting hardware and software
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently to accomplish necessary tasks
