What You'll Do
As a Finance Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing the full spectrum of controllership and compliance activities. Your ability to partner effectively across teams ensures that both management reporting and statutory obligations are met seamlessly.
- Oversee month-end accounting closing activities such as journal adjustments, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and preparation of balance sheet reconciliation schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Prepare and submit monthly management accounts along with detailed schedules for group reporting, providing insightful commentaries on significant movements.
- Monitor aged items and control accounts within the balance sheet, proactively identifying discrepancies and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
- Ensure timely filing and payment of monthly corporate tax and SST/GST returns while coordinating with tax agents on complex tax matters including estimates and annual computations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes to enforce compliance with tax laws and financial reporting standards throughout the organisation.
- Liaise with external auditors during interim and annual audits by preparing required information, reviewing draft audited accounts, highlighting findings, and finalising signed statements.
- Prepare weekly cash flow statements in coordination with shared services, business teams, and credit control to forecast inflows/outflows and optimise working capital management.
- Support Group Treasury functions by managing bank access rights, signatories, account openings/closures, and facilitating efficient cash repatriation or loan drawdowns as needed.
- Oversee payroll processes in close collaboration with HR to ensure accurate salary payments while adhering to local labour laws and tax regulations.
- Track overhead expenditures rigorously, review vendor payments for accuracy/compliance, implement cost control measures, maintain statutory documentation, and champion process improvement initiatives.
To excel as a Finance Manager in this role, you will bring substantial experience in financial controllership within complex organisational structures.
- Demonstrated experience in managing end-to-end month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of management accounts within a medium or large organisation.
- Proven track record in tax compliance encompassing monthly filings (corporate tax/SST/GST), coordination with tax agents on estimates/annual computations, and staying updated on regulatory changes impacting financial reporting.
- Extensive experience liaising with external auditors during interim/annual audits including preparation/review of audit schedules, addressing findings promptly, and finalising audited statements for submission.
- Strong background in cash flow forecasting involving collaboration across multiple teams (shared services/business/credit control) to optimise working capital management strategies.
- Hands-on expertise supporting treasury functions such as managing bank access/signatories/account administration alongside facilitating cash repatriation or loan drawdowns as required by business needs.
- Comprehensive understanding of payroll processes including close cooperation with HR teams to ensure accurate/timely salary payments compliant with local labour/tax regulations.
- Ability to review batch/vendor payments prepared by shared services for accuracy/compliance while tracking overhead expenditures against forecasts to implement cost control measures effectively.
- A proactive attitude towards identifying/implementing process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency/integrity within finance operations.
