About The Role
We’re looking for an Excel Expert (Data Analyst) to join our growing remote team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in working with large, unstructured datasets and is confident in using Excel to clean, analyse, and model data.
You’ll play a key role in supporting our carbon consultants by transforming utility, procurement, and logistics data into meaningful insights that help our clients reduce their carbon emissions and reach their net zero goals. We’re after someone detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to contribute to climate-positive outcomes through data.

About The Role

You’ll play a key role in supporting our carbon consultants by transforming utility, procurement, and logistics data into meaningful insights that help our clients reduce their carbon emissions and reach their net zero goals. We’re after someone detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to contribute to climate-positive outcomes through data.
Responsibilities
- Manage and structure raw datasets from client sources (e.g. energy bills, procurement records, freight data).
- Clean and organise large volumes of data using advanced Excel functions.
- Build and maintain Excel models using formulas such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, IF statements, and pivot tables.
- Collaborate closely with consultants to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in developing carbon footprint models and sustainability reports (training provided).
- Contribute to the creation of Power BI dashboards for internal and client use.
- Troubleshoot data issues and recommend process improvements.
- Support multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate and coordinate with the team via Slack and project tools like Asana.
- At least 2 years of experience in a data analyst or Excel-heavy role.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, IF statements, pivot tables, data cleaning techniques).
- Experience with formulas, nested functions, data validation, and pivot tables.
- Proficient in Power BI tool (used for internal dashboards and reporting).
- Familiarity with Tableau or basic understanding of sustainability metrics.
- Comfortable working with messy, large, or unstructured data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
