We are hiring for a Duty Engineer.
As a Duty Engineer, We Rely You To
- Ensure that the Hotel equipment and areas are maintained and operated in accordance with Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts standard
- Check daily utilities readings and make sure operation is most efficient.
- Ensure all engineering employees follow the Engineering Standards and Procedures as issued from time to time.
- Conduct shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known.
- Manage the technician to maintain all machinery equipment and record work process for the property.
- Responsible for the proper organization and functioning of the energy management function of the Engineering Department.
- Demonstrate awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines and ensure direct reports do the same.
- Analyse and monitor energy costs and expenditures for the department.
- Ensure that personal grooming and hygiene standards are being observed doing spot checks in the morning.
- Perform any other duties which may be assigned by the management from time to time.
- Has proper bearing, good health, physically fit, neat & pleasant
- Has at least 5 years experience in the same field.
- Has certificate from Technical College in Mechanics or Electricity or equivalent.
- Demonstrates awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines. In addition, first aid and fire and emergency procedures.
- Demonstrates high quality work, has good communication & problem solving skills, organizational and training abilities
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented and has the aptitude to learn
- Leads by example
- Communicates and writes with fluency in English (and local language)
