Data Protection Specialist

Performs the following to the assigned business units:

• Serves as a Data Privacy subject matter expert.
• Ensures corporate devices and procedures are adequate.
• Ensures alerts and issues are raised and addressed in a timely manner
• Sets appropriate policies and procedures.
• Partners with business, legal, and technical teams to ensure privacy is treated appropriately
• Leads privacy awareness efforts

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Data Protection Laws & Standards (Ph DPA of 2012, GDPR, etc…)
• Privacy Risk Management
• Project Management
• Ability to comprehend and operationalize legal opinions and regulations
• Basic Information Security Knowledge

SOFT SKILLS

• Strong sense of integrity and identification with the mission.
• Strong team player.
• Ability to thrive on high operational tempo, and high stress environment.
• Strong written and oral communication
• Ability to provide on-the-job training and knowledge sharing to other members of the organization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• 2 years experience in the field of information privacy or information security
• BS or equivalent degree in CS, IT, IS or equivalent fields

DESIRED CERTIFICATIONS

• CIPP/E or CIPP/A
• CIPM
• DPO ACE
• Any Information Security Certification
