Job Summary
- Responsible for providing credit analysis and recommendations to support activities and budget targets of the Global Macro and Investments Credit Division and Asset Portfolio Management Segment (APMS). Handles the establishment, renewal, and amendment, as well as risk monitoring of credit lines as used for investment activities of APMS.
- Assists the Global Macro and Investments Credit Division Head and the Asset Portfolio Management Division/Segment Head in identifying investment opportunities in corporate credit assets and credit derivatives.
- Conducts research to gather pertinent information on specific issuers, to include Quasi Sovereign Corporations, Foreign Corporations, and Financial Institutions via:
- ? Accessible electronic media (Bloomberg and Internet)
- ? Resource persons such as Equity and Fixed Income Research Analysts at major financial institutions, ratings agencies, and other research houses
- ? Investor trips and/or conferences
- Coordinates with Financial Institutions and Support Segment (FISS) and Credit Management Group (CMG) for the independent evaluation of proposals, as well as in the preparation of investment recommendations to the appropriate approving bodies.
- Analyzes investment merits of specific issuers and their credit instruments, such as fixed income securities issues and credit derivatives. Prepares recommendations and requests for the appropriate approvals from the Credit Committee, the Executive Committee (EXCOM), and if required, the Board of Directors.
- Maintains and monitors credit profiles of investment exposures including factors that would affect the viability of each exposure, such as but not limited to regional, sectoral, and industry macro trends; credit default spreads and equity price movements; operational, financial, ownership, and managerial changes; and rating agencies upgrade/downgrade trends and reports; and provides relevant updates of the same to the Division Head and Segment Head.
- Ensures performance of Quarterly and Annual Reviews of existing credit lines.
- Purchases and sells fixed income securities, derivatives and other investments as directed by the Division Head, Segment Head and/or Treasurer.
- Fresh graduates of any business course
- Preferably a Certified Treasury Professional
- Strong research and analytical skills
