Company Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate medical attention for work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Administer first aid and basic life support (BLS) as needed.
• Manage and maintain a well-stocked first-aid kit.
• Conduct regular health assessments and screenings for employees.
• Monitor and manage chronic health conditions of employees.
• Refer employees to healthcare providers for further evaluation and treatment.
• Develop and implement health and safety programs, policies, and procedures
• Conduct safety training and education sessions for employees
• Participate in accident investigations and incident reporting
• Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records of employees.
• Prepare reports on health and safety incidents, injuries, and illnesses.
• Track and analyze health data to identify trends and potential health risks.
• Promote healthy lifestyle behaviors through wellness programs and initiatives.
• Provide health education and counseling on topics such as nutrition, and stress management

HR Support Functions:

• Assist with employee benefits administration, including health insurance.
• Provide guidance on health-related issues during the hiring process.
• Collaborate with HR on disability management and return-to-work programs.
• Manage employee leave of absence due to illness or injury.
• Assist with the Employee Engagement Activities of the company

Job Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational health nursing or a related field
• Experience in a manufacturing or food industry setting is advantageous.
• Strong clinical skills, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Computer proficiency, including electronic health record systems.
