About the Team

Community Operations is the heart and soul of our #BuildWithHeart approach at Uber. We work with customers, people earning money on the platform and partners at enormous scale. Community Operations helps operationalise every new and existing product and idea that Uber comes up with - it's an organisation that touches every part of Uber!

About the Role

The Onboarding Specialist owns the onboarding process of the merchant from start to finish. A few activities included (but not limited to) would be auditing menus, uploading merchant photos, making outbound calls/emails to help unblock merchants and answer their questions, and checking that merchants meet all requirements to be activated on Uber Eats platform.

Your Impact in Role
  • Onboards merchants by ensuring that menus and photos comply with Uber Eats quality and brand standards
  • Conducts outbound calls to merchants who are active but not taking trips, identifying potential blockers and providing guidance to improve engagement and activation
  • Contribute to collaborative work environment where people learn from one another and continuously improve processes on behalf of users
  • Care passionately about the product and getting others excited to ride and partner with Uber
The Experience You'll Bring
  • Work experience in a high energy, productive, and customer-centric environment
  • Excellence in both written and spoken English
  • Exceptional comprehension and writing skills
  • High proficiency using computers (typing, quickly navigating between various tools) and software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to connect effectively what users are asking for with answers to their true issues
  • Willingness to work on different shifts, totaling 40 hours per week, including weekends and weekly evening shifts
  • Willingness to be moved from time to time to other projects and accounts or where the business needs them
