Job Summary

  • Ensure implementation of Operational Risk Management (ORM) Framework across the Bank including subsidiaries. Support the Head of Business Operational Risk Department (BORD) to introduce and implement best practices on Operational Risk Management (ORM) through appropriate ORM tools thereby enabling the Bank to improve the risk and control awareness throughout the organization, minimize operational losses and increase profitability and shareholder value.

How will you contribute?

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Operational Risks Management Framework (ORMF), policies and tools, ensuring that they are suitable for the business and the regulatory environment.
  • Contribute improvement opportunities, and prepare recommendations to improve the ORM techniques, methodologies, processes and implementation strategies, where applicable.
  • Develop and Monitor tools for material operational risks such as Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSA), Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Control Sample Testing (CST) for appropriate monitoring and reporting to Senior Management, Risk Oversight Committee (ROC).
  • Review identified operational risks and controls across business lines and processes of the Bank.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for high risk areas and recommend control procedures and/or corrective actions, as necessary
  • Prepare meaningful risk management reports to summarize results, and status on the implementation of the ORM tools by various business units
  • Act in advisory or consulting capacity in loss reporting and monitoring operational risk exposures.

What will make you successful?

  • Graduate of a 4-year course, preferably a business-related degree or finance
  • At least 5 years exposure to Banking Operations, Operational Risk or Audit function
  • Has working knowledge and experience in risk assessment techniques, methodology and its application in banking operations
