We are on the lookout for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving business growth, identifying new market opportunities, and building strong client relationships.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Business Development Leader will be responsible for identifying, developing, and driving new business opportunities in the retail electricity supply market and renewable energy space. This includes strategic prospecting, customer acquisition, pricing proposal development, and stakeholder engagement. The role will also contribute to the expansion of MECO’s portfolio in utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) and renewable energy projects (solar, hydro, etc.). The BDL will interface with government agencies, private sector clients, and internal technical teams to execute contracts, partnerships, and project rollouts aligned with company goals.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or other related fields
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the power, energy, or utilities sector
- Proven track record in securing and managing commercial or industrial energy clients
- Experience or knowledge in battery energy storage systems (BESS) and/or grid ancillary services
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Willingness to travel and engage with clients and partners nationwide
