Demand Planning Specialist

The Demand Planning function oversees the management strategy for the organization's SKUs with a focus on enhancing forecast accuracy, optimizing inventory, and minimizing costs both in raw materials and expiring FG inventory. The Demand Planning Specialist drives this strategy, creating accurate and adaptable sales forecasts while leading cross-functional teams to streamline supply chain processes efficiently.

As the Demand Planning Specialist, you will

  • Develop accurate demand forecasts across various levels and time horizons, leveraging historical sales trends, demand drivers, and statistical models to support informed business decisions.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance in cross-functional meetings to refine demand forecast assumptions and align on drivers such as local trends, promotions, and growth opportunities.
  • Establish and lead regional demand planning processes, translating high-level business metrics into actionable supply chain strategies and crafting bottom-up forecasts.
  • Optimize inventory management by proposing ideal targets and implementing strategies for existing products, new launches, and phase-outs to ensure supply continuity and cost efficiency.
  • Facilitate monthly Demand Review Meetings to present key reports such as Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Ageing, Write-Off Planning, and Stock Monitoring, ensuring alignment in the Local S&OP process.
  • Maintain data accuracy in global planning systems (IBP, SAP) by timely uploading volume reports during monthly, LE, and ASP cycles, and ensuring master data integrity across processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferably under Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in FMCG company in a supply chain position with in-depth knowledge of forecasting & logistics and distribution & warehousing management
  • Knowledge in IBP or SAP is an advantage
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel and is able to swiftly learn new systems
