Summary: The Accounting Manager will oversee the financial operations and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting for our retail business. This role involves managing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.

- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes and reports.
- Generate financial reports and presentation for management, periodical analysis, highlighting key financial metrics and trends supported with data.
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Assist in financial forecasting and planning activities.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing and collection activities.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of accounting entries in NAV software.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including VAT and corporate income tax.
- Provide accurate data to various stake holders for legal compliance
- Oversee the discrepancies in sales and attending audit queries.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team with motivation.
- Assign tasks and projects, providing guidance and support to ensure deadlines are met.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify opportunities for professional development.
- Oversee inventory accounting and ensure accurate stock valuations.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to support retail operations.
- Analyze sales data and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in the retail industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of FP&A and past experience in FP&A or shared service is an advantage.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel and MS Power point.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, Good at work delegation and overviewing team activities.
- Self motivated and ambitious with strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal in both local and English.
