The Reconciliation Accountant will perform reconciliation and posting of accounting transactions to produce accurate financial data for a set number of the Company’s clients. This position will contribute to a high performing, collaborative team culture and model OnePoint’s values and behaviors.

Reporting Relationships

  • Reports directly to a Team Manager in the USA.
  • Is a member of the Continuous Close Team.
  • Works with other Philippines resources to complete accounting work as a team.


Accountabilities

Complete the continuous close process as trained by OnePoint, including:

  • Downloading and Reconciling Bank Accounts and Credit Card Accounts.
  • Download and Posting 3rd Party Delivery Fees per statements.
  • Reconciling Delivery clearing accounts.
  • Maintain consistent and timely completion of accounting activities.
  • Confidence to perform Quality Control checks of other team members.
  • Identify data quality issues and errors, investigate data discrepancies, and partners with OnePoint leaders and other staff to reach resolutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities that expand and improve OnePoint’s practices, processes, and services.


Performance Measurements

  • Full-Cycle Technical Accounting competency (AP, AR, Deposit reconciliation, Inventory posting, Payroll Reconciliation, Month Close checklists)
  • Ability to manage client workload and deliver quality financial timely
  • Expertise with Xero General Ledger (nice to have)
  • Participation as an effective team-member
  • Exhibit service-oriented leadership and mentoring to team members
  • Demonstrate that you are motivated learner and problem solver
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on reconciliation and posting of accounting transactions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Xero General Ledger.
  • Strong knowledge of full-cycle technical accounting competencies, including AP, AR, deposit reconciliation, inventory posting, payroll reconciliation, and month close checklists.
  • Ability to manage client workload and deliver quality financial results in a timely manner.
  • Confidence in performing quality control checks of other team members.
  • Ability to identify data quality issues and errors, investigate data discrepancies, and work with OnePoint leaders and staff to reach resolutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on service-oriented leadership and mentoring team members.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to continuous improvement activities that expand and improve OnePoint's practices, processes, and services.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Xero and other relevant accounting software applications.
