Research Officer (1 post) – Transmission Zero Project, Bagamoyo
The successful candidates will support laboratory-based transgenesis research activities within a Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) laboratory environment, ensuring strict compliance with safety protocols.
Position Summary
Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) is seeking highly motivated and skilled graduates to join the Transmission Zero Project as Research Officers on a contract basis to support genomics and transgenesis research activities aimed at advancing malaria control and elimination efforts in Tanzania and across Africa.
The successful candidates will support laboratory-based transgenesis research activities within a Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) laboratory environment, ensuring strict compliance with safety protocols and laboratory procedures.
Qualifications And Experience
Applicants must hold a science-related degree, preferably in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
Candidates with at least one (1) year of experience in a similar field, including hands-on experience in molecular biology and parasitology techniques, will have an added advantage.
