Web Application Security Engineer (AU Cybersecurity, Hybrid)

Schedule: Monday – Friday (06:00 AM-03:00 PM PHT)

What are we looking for?

Skills Required

• Experience with monitoring of WAF controls. Including ability to troubleshoot logs, identify root cause of issues.
• Experience in Splunk, with respect to the development of security use cases for monitoring, onboarding logs and creation of dashboards.
• Experience with AWS cloud technologies including AWS Native WAF toolset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  

Nice To Have

• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, GPEN, CEH, CREST, GWAPT, CISSP, OSCE, GXPN, OSWE, CISA or equivalent are highly desirable.
  
  

What will you do?

• Support the onboarding of new applications to IDP WAF Solutions
• Support the ongoing management of WAF rule sets via AWS Firewall Manager and follow AWS best practice guidelines in management.
• Support incident response activities (root cause analysis and troubleshooting) related to web-based attacks.
• Build and maintain process documentation that outlines WAF rule sets, and the application of these to various IDP applications.
• Stay current with emerging security threats and vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigating measures
• Support data onboarding and develop and maintain meaningful dashboards to demonstrate IDPs WAF posture.
• Defining security use cases for WAF monitoring and implement
