Under the direct supervision of the Head of Manila Supply Chain Unit (MSCU), the functional supervision of the Unit Head, SCM Business Policy and Systems and in close coordination with relevant units at Supply Chain Division and others at HQ, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for managing for master data activities related to supply chain operations. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of master data in the new ERP – Wave system.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and supervise the Global Master Data Management team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to team members and verifying team members are aligned with organizational goals and expectations.
    • Provide strategic oversight for vendor registration and master data processes by defining the strategic direction to monitor alignment with IOM's goals, driving continuous improvements in master data management practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, implementing updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and SharePoint resources to verify they are current and effective.
    • Establish and enforce data quality standards for vendor, item, and warehouse information within the
      WAVE system, which serves as the single vendor database, to help maintain data integrity and
      compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, conducting regular audits to
      verify data is accurate and reliable.
    • Monitor that robust quality control measures are in place throughout all master data management
      processes to prevent errors and maintain data integrity by implementing risk mitigation strategies to
      protect sensitive data and maintain process continuity, while guaranteeing adherence to SLAs to maintain timely and efficient service delivery.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR to address consultant requirements, promoting a streamlined
      process for onboarding and management of consultants, and partner with Finance to verify and
      validate bank details, which is essential for accurate and secure financial transactions. This collaboration facilitates accurate and reliable master data across all vendors, items, and warehouses, supporting IOM's operational and financial activities.
    • Identify opportunities for optimization in vendor registration, item master data, and warehouse data
      management to improve processes. This includes proposing and supporting initiatives related to system enhancements and data quality improvements.
    • Analyze data using data visualization tools to monitor and check data accuracy and reliability is a key aspect of this process, involving the development of dashboards to track key metrics, identify data gaps, and implement corrective actions. This role leverages tools for proactive oversight.
    • Monitor that the escalation process resolves issues swiftly to minimize operational delays and maintain the efficiency of the vendor registration process, including coordinating the resolution of
      technical and process-related issues, facilitating team effective support.
    • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Education

    • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Management, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or,
    • University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.
    • Certifications in data management, governance, or information security are advantageous, alongside
      a CIPS certification.

    Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database .

    Experience

    • Proven experience in data management and client data handling, preferably in procurement or supply
      chain operations.
    • Effective customer support experience is essential.
    • Practical experience with vendor master data processes.
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools for monitoring data quality.
    • Experience implementing data cleansing, enrichment, and compliance with governance policies.
    • Expertise in using ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and ticketing systems (Freshservice preferred).
    • Experience conducting data quality checks and verifying vendor sanctions for compliance.

    Skills

    Languages

    • For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second official UN language is desirable.
