Job Summary:
The Verticals Business Head is responsible for leading and driving the strategy, operations, and profitability of a specific business vertical. This role requires a strong balance of strategic vision and operational execution, with full accountability for P&L, business growth, client relationships, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Business Growth
- Define and execute the business strategy for the assigned vertical in alignment with overall company objectives.
- Identify new opportunities, partnerships, and markets to drive revenue growth.
- Analyze industry trends and competitor landscape to shape vertical positioning.
- P&L Management
- Own and manage the vertical’s profit and loss.
- Drive revenue targets while optimizing costs and ensuring profitability.
- Prepare regular performance reports and forecasts for senior management.
- Client & Business Development
- Build and nurture strong client and partner relationships within the vertical.
- Lead negotiations and close strategic deals to expand business.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through high-quality delivery.
- Operations & Delivery
- Oversee day-to-day operations within the vertical, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, finance, HR, etc.) for seamless execution.
- Establish processes, KPIs, and dashboards to track performance.
- Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the vertical team to achieve performance goals.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and growth.
- Ensure talent development and succession planning within the vertical.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in managing business units, verticals, or large-scale projects, with proven success in delivering growth.
- Strong commercial acumen with P&L ownership experience.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Deep understanding of the vertical’s industry dynamics and market trends.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with a results-driven mindset.
