ROLE SUMMARY

Our client is looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain their financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and organized, helping maintain the organization's financial health. You will work closely with the accounting team and other departments to support day-to-day financial operations.

This role is ideal for a highly organized individual with a strong background in bookkeeping who can work independently and manage multiple tasks.

WORK SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform the following financial transaction recording tasks:
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
  • Maintain the general ledger by posting and verifying financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Perform the following bank and account reconciliation tasks:
  • Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Monitor cash flow and report on financial health regularly to the management team
  • Perform the following accounts payable and receivable tasks:
  • Manage accounts payable by processing invoices, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely payments
  • Oversee accounts receivable, including issuing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts
  • Assist in managing customer and vendor relationships by providing prompt and accurate financial information
  • Perform the following financial reporting tasks:
  • Generate and present periodic financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to provide insights into the company’s financial performance
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to prepare for audits and tax filings by providing necessary documentation and support
  • Perform the following payroll processing tasks:
  • Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees
  • Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll tax reporting and compliance
  • Perform the following compliance and recordkeeping tasks:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations, including tax laws
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of financial transactions and support documentation for auditing purposes
  • Assist in maintaining a secure and confidential recordkeeping system, ensuring data privacy and protection
  • Perform the following system and process improvement tasks:
  • Identify opportunities for improving bookkeeping processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency
  • Stay updated on the latest bookkeeping software and tools to streamline remote bookkeeping operations
  • Perform the following collaboration and communication tasks:
  • Work closely with the finance team, providing support and assistance as needed
  • Communicate effectively with management, offering insights into financial trends and issues that may arise
  • Assist with special financial projects and tasks as directed by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a remote or virtual environment
  • Experience with payroll processing and payroll tax reporting
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with cloud-based bookkeeping systems and tools
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations related to financial information
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and recordkeeping
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience in a multi-client environment
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment
  • Ability to adapt to new bookkeeping technologies and tools
